Abstract
|
|
|
The primary mucocele of the appendix is a very rare disease, with the incidence varying from 0. 1 to 0. 3% of every appendectomy cases.
The pseudomyxoma peritonei results from ruptured malignant mucocele of the appendix or other organs. The malignant mucocele of the appendix is very similar in appearance to benign mucocele.
A case of pseudomyxoma peritonei due to ruptured malignant mucocele of the appendix is reported with a brief review of literature.
